How far away are you from downtown Stanley?

We are 5 miles west along Highway 21 from downtown Stanley, before reaching the entrance for Stanley Lake.

Why can’t I find a phone number for Stanley RV?

We have chosen to eliminate our booking phone number to ensure accuracy in our booking process. We are able to assist via email, however we will always ask the guest to complete their own booking online to avoid any mistakes or misunderstandings.

We have also made the choice to have campground staff prioritize our in-camp guest experience, rather than answering the phone and making in-person guests wait.

There is an in-camp phone number available to our guests that are currently staying with us in camp for emergency use. Provided at check-in.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 2PM
(*Early check-in is available after 12:30PM if your site is unoccupied for a $10 fee)

Check-out is at 11AM

Quiet hours are from 10PM to 8AM

Is the Elk Mountain Potbelly Cafe and Restaurant open?

The restaurant is permanently closed.

What discounts do you offer?

We offer a 10% off discount to active military, veterans, ER staff and EMT staff and other first responders. We’re sorry, but we do not any traveler discounts like Good Sam, AAA, or Passport America.

What is “Site Selection” (aka “site lock”)?

Every reservation is guaranteed once payment is received and our email confirmation is sent out. The “Site Selection” fee is an additional option a guest pays to select a specific site in the campground. We provide pictures and list amenities for every site on our RV Sites page.

Video on site selection: https://youtu.be/0IQJNhdgQag

If you chose not to pay the "Site Selection" fee then the campground reserves the right to choose a site for you. You will always be in the same site type (Van/Truck Camper, 30amp Back-In, 50amp Back-In). Again, your reservation is guaranteed…this fee simply applies to whether or not you want to choose a specific site for your stay.

Please note:

  • Site Selection is not available for our Pull-Thru site because we only have one pull-thru site; so there is no selection to be made other than as a “site type”.

  • If no option is given when booking a standard 30amp or 50amp site, then all other sites are currently booked for your dates and no other site is available to “select”.

Do you rent to groups?

We’re sorry, but we do not offer the blocking-out of sites for group reservations. If you are interested in reserving the entire campground, please contact us directly to discuss rates and availability (*not offered in July or August).

Stanley rv + camp is a smaller campground and does not offer group spaces for use or rent, and to protect the experience of other guests we request that no more than 10 guests gather at any one RV site. We highly recommend groups look to the Forest Service group campgrounds for accommodations as we are not set up to host groups over 10 people.

What is your cancellation policy:

  • Please see our POLICIES page for details on our Change / Cancellation Policies.

Can I transfer my reservation to someone else?

Yes, you can transfer your reservation to someone else. The person who made the reservation will need to reach out to us via email (info@stanleyrv.com) at least 5 days before the reservation. We will need the contact information for the person that will be taking over the reservation. We will update the reservation to the new customer and verify that their rv will fit in the original site. Stanley RV can not guarantee a site for the new guest if their RV is larger than the original booking. Failure to contact Stanley RV to inform us of transferring the reservation may result in Stanley RV not being able to accommodate the new customer.
