How far away are you from downtown Stanley?
We are 5 miles west along Highway 21 from downtown Stanley, before reaching the entrance for Stanley Lake.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 2PM
Check-out is at 11AM
Quiet hours are from 10PM to 7AM
Is there a discount for longer stays?
We offer a discount for any stay of 7 days or longer. Further details are available on our booking page. This discount is automatically applied during your online reservation booking.
Are you open year-round?
Our campground is open May 17th- October 14th; +/- 2 weeks, weather permitting.
What should I bring?
It gets below 32 degrees every month of the year in Stanley. For your RV, we recommend a heated water hose and enough propane to run your heater at night. Bring jackets, blankets and warm clothing for chilly nights.
What is the busy season in Stanley and at the campground?
The busiest season in Stanley and at our campground is from mid-June to mid-August. June and September are becoming busy as more and more people discover the beauty of the area. Most RV spots in the area are booked months in advance for the busy season.
Do I have to have a reservation, or can I just show up?
We offer sites to drivers-by and walk-ups. However, keep in mind that we are very busy and calling ahead to make sure we have room for you and your size camper is highly encouraged.
Do you have showers open to the public?
Yes, we offer showers to public for $5 per person. Please check-in at the office to pay.
Can we bring extra cars?
1 car is permitted per site.
We have limited parking at Stanley RV, additional vehicles may be allowed at the discretion of the campground manager with a $5 per night fee. Please understand additional vehicle(s) may have to be parked in the main lot or other location not adjacent to your site.
Can I bring a boat, trailer, or ATVs?
We have limited parking at Stanley RV, additional sites must be booked at the regular site rate for trailers over 15’. For smaller trailers, we have limited additional trailer parking spots available for a $10 per night fee.
You may keep a single ATV at your site if, along with you camper and car, it fits completely within your site.
Do you have tent camping?
Yes, we have 3 tent sites available or you can rent out an RV site for your tent.
Limit of 1 tent per tent site.
Our dedicated tenting area has 20amp electric outlet and a water spigot for the 3 tent sites to share. No 1 site can reserve or claim ownership of water or electrical access.
Tenting at an RV site
Guests can book a RV site and put up to 2 tents on the site, as long as the tents and car fit within the boundaries of your reserved site. RV sites are a mix of gravel/dirt.
1 tent is permitted on a site that also has a camper/RV on it, as long as it fits completely within your site.
An occupancy guideline of 5 people is still applicable. Each additional guest carries a $5.00 per night fee up to 7 people maximum per site.
Do I need to bring bedding for the wooden tents?
Yes, guests need to bring their own bedding for the wooden tents. We have sleeping bags and pillows available for rent at the office for $5 each set (these are washed after every guest’s use).
Do you allow pets?
Yes, we allow well-behaved pets, but have a limit of 3 per site.
Pets must be on a leash and please pick-up after your pet. There is no additional fee for pets. Please see our pet policy on our “Policies” page for more information. Pets are allowed in the wooden tents but can NOT be left alone in the wooden tents.
Do you rent to groups?
Guests can book multiple sites online or by calling the office. Groups must keep all camping equipment and cars within designated sites. It is important to Stanley RV that groups understand they are sharing the campground with many other guests, and everyone has the same rights to use campground facilities and open spaces.

Do you have wifi?
Yes, we offer complementary wifi at all our sites. However, please be aware that due to the remote nature of our campground the wifi can be spotty and is intended for research and personal use, but not for streaming and downloading large files.
Do you have cable / satellite TV?
No, we do not offer TV services at camp. However, our upper sites have a very clear view of the sky and will accommodate your personal satellite dish or digital antenna.
Do you have showers?
Yes, we have a squeaky-clean bath house with sinks, toilets, and hot showers. There is no additional charge for these services.
Do you have laundry?
Yes, we have 2 washers and 2 dryers for use by our campground guests only.
Can I bring fireworks?
No, we do not allow fireworks at camp.
Is this a Forest Service or National Park campground?
No, we are privately owned and managed. Forest Service campgrounds are located near Redfish Lake and Stanley Lake. Forest Service campgrounds DO NOT have electric / water / sewer hookups at your site, but do offer potable water and a dump station.
